Tru Winemaking
We are very excited about our 2009 crush here at Tru Cellars. This year, for the first time ever, Tru Cellars will be the only American sparkling wine producer with the opportunity to use true Champagne barrels from the Champagne region of France. Tonnellerie de Champagne Ardenne, the only cooperage in the entire Champagne region, crafted the barrels for Tru Cellars. This small artisan cooperage is partially owned by the in-house cooper at Krug, arguably one of the finest champagne houses in the world. What makes these barrels extraordinarily unique is the combination of craftsmanship and the very special wood that has been sourced from the region specifically for sparkling wine for hundreds of years. Because our goal at Tru Cellars is to ensure quality and authenticity, we allow our grapes to do the talking and the land to do the winemaking. Our wines will speak to you in a way that only few have heard or tasted, so please come and be a part of our family and enjoy what mother nature has provided us.
